Pre conference education beginning on Tuesday, 10 December will include a computer lab with stand-alone, three-hour sessions featuring hands-on technology programs to help attendees in their job performance; Los Angeles city tours and a Los Angeles Convention Center behind the scenes tour; and Educator and Culinary Translator Rebecca Katz Lunch Workshop: Transforming Health Through the Power of Food.

Expo! Expo! education sessions will feature interactive environments designed with cutting-edge ideas to encourage full immersion and engagement for attendees. Sessions will be available with social interactions for show organizers, executives, young professionals, women, first time attendees, consumer show organizers, chapter leaders and more. The “Go & Be” interactive rooms will focus on the following areas of professional development:

Expo! Expo!, the exhibition, takes place in the West Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 9 December, and continues from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 10 December. Attendees will meet with more than 250 exhibitors representing over 60 product and service categories in nearly 38,000 net square feet of exhibit space as they search for products, services and solutions pertaining to all aspects of the exhibitions and events industry. The exhibition will end with drawings for various exhibitor prizes and a grand prize. The Expo! Expo! experience will provide attendees with numerous networking opportunities including the IAEE Solutions Center, IAEE TV Studio, Meet Up Pavilion, IAEE FlyBy Sessions, Swim Up and Campfire Sessions, Expo! Expo! Eats and race car simulators.

The Expo! Expo! Opening General Session and CEM Class of 2014 Presentation will be held on Tuesday, 9 December at 1:30 p.m. and will feature Robert Safian, editor-in-chief of Fast Company magazine. The Day 2 General Session will take place before exhibition hours on Wednesday, 10 December. Keynote speaker Seth Mattison, founder and chief movement officer of FutureSight Labs, will share his expertise on conventional leadership thinking and workforce trends.

Attendees will enjoy a wide variety of networking opportunities at Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition, beginning with the IAEE Young Professionals and Krakoff Leadership Institute Alumni Party on Monday, 8 December at the Standard Hotel Downtown L.A. Especially designed for young professionals in the exhibitions and events industry under 40 years old, as well as alumni of the Krakoff Leadership Institute, this event will give attendees the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues in this fun and lively event.

LA Tourism & Convention Board will host the Opening Reception on Tuesday, 9 December, at 7:00 p.m. at L.A. LIVE, Discover Los Angeles! Wolfgang Puck Catering will tantalize the senses while attendees grace the red carpet and network where the latest trends are born.

On Wednesday evening, attendees will have the opportunity to unwind at IAEE’s Humanity Rocks – A Celebration with a Cause, IAEE and GES’ annual charity event, from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. at Conga Room at L.A. Live.

The IAEE Annual Networking Luncheon and Awards Presentation held on Thursday, 11 December from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. will recognize the recipients of the 2014 IAEE Awards, including the newest award categories – International Excellence and Woman of the Year; the Platinum Circle inductees; Helen Brett Scholarship recipients; Krakoff Leadership Institute graduates; and the 2014 Top Public Events and Art of the Show competition honorees.

Expociety, IAEE’s closing event from 4:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, 11 December will be held at JW Marriott L.A. Live.
